It is just the start of the holiday and i'm already hoping for it to end. It may be a wonder to alot of people to why i would think as such but after working as a data entry clerk at my workplace, that's the conclusion get.
Today was the first day of work. The standard time is 1.30 to 7.15pm, which is actually short(compared to normal office hour). I went early to check out the route and place(the bus journey was mysteriously long!). The people there are quite alright but there is (definitely)no privacy with everyone sitting next to everyone(due to lack of space). I'm perfectly fine with entering data into the system(being a data entry clerk), but the checking of cheques for any discrepanies is kind of irritating. What's more, the day started nice but ended up real fast(like a roller coaster ride) by the end of the day. Not to forget, having the head(though a very nice person) walking around, looking at everyone and screaming about how slow everyone was, really wasn't that enriching.
When i was going home, the head stop me and told me that there would be tons of work during the end of each month(which is now), thus she hopes(if possible) for me to get there early tomorrow(also in a way for me to learn more) and there is a need to arrive at 10am on monday. Later on the way home, i felt cheated because i know i'm going to work alot more than what the standard time had state(consider having to work overtime on the first day). However, when i get the money(provided they pay accordingly), i believe i'll be perfectly fine with the job. Till then, i'll just have to bear and hope time fly fast~
